Are you going to have items that were previously discontinued (such as turtles, devils, pandas) available to buy, craft or obtain as a drop?
Also, is this going to be an invite only server, like EOR?

When its finished, are you going to release the server files for people to make their own EO servers? If not, could I possibly have a chance to get my hands on it when it is done? Ive been interested in EO private servers for a long time. |
Signature? That'll cost ya.

@Syran: The server I host will be public, but have "unfair" moderation (being a dipshit = banned, more importantly, saying 'u' = banned)
Also, the items will be entirely up to the server owner (but the eohax server will be as close to the original as possible, except a few changes I think would work well)
@Guthix: The server will be released as a binary once it's usable. (and the source once it's moderately finished)
Another thing, all eoserv servers will automatically register themselves on a list of servers, which will be available on the official eoserv site (once it exists)
Edit: unless the server owner disables that feature (so you can still host private ones)

Wolfdog doesn't like when I say stuff before it's ready, but here's a few things. :P
- Boring stuff: sqlite or mysql support
- Server owner decides on experience gaining type:
-
- 0 = no exp is earned
- 1 = whoever inflicts the most damage gets all the exp
- 2 = whoever hits last gets all the exp
- 3 = whoever hits first gets all the exp
- 4 = exp is divived up based on how much damage was done
- ... and drop reward types:
-
- 0 = whoever inflicts the most damage gets the drop
- 1 = whoever hits last gets the drop
- 2 = whoever hits first gets the drop
- Changed guild leadership system (gain priviledges based on rank)
-
- 1 = disband guild
- 2 = modify description and rank names
- 3 = demote members (below your own rank)
- 4 = protote members (to below or equal to own rank)
- 5 = kick members
- 6 = recruit members
- Toggle on/off major features (Guilds, Paries, Battle, Arena, PK, Shops, Skills...)
- Toggle on and off global pk (PK on every map except some [bank, church, shops])
- Rebalanced weapons and items (Major)
- Slightly changed drops (too many to list)
- And configurable EXP and drop rates.

Re: EOSERV todo list |

I've hit a huge brick wall, everything is stable (except some made up connection info), but the client refuses to acknowledge when I send it a character list, it responds fine to "invalid username or password" though. :(
Taking a few days break, then I'll try emulate the connection info perfectly to see if it fixes itself then.

Sausage, if you are ever on test server, pm Yowuzzup if you see him on. He has recently set up a private server of TMW and might be able to help you. |

There's a difference between downloading and installing a pre-made server, and writing one from scratch and conforming to some retard's (vault-arez) faggotry.
